The book Battle Royale was made in 1998. And like I said in my post the movie in 2000.
Movie directors and authors have always wanted to remake Battle Royale and adapt it into American media.
BAM.
There’s your hunger games.

I just finished watching Battle Royale.
A movie released in 2000, based on a book also named “Battle Royale”
Most people that watch this see it as a sick, horrifying, bloody movie that has no reasoning.
But this is quite the opposite.
Although this movie does contain immense amounts of blood and killing, it shows a lot about human beings and how circumstances can change a persons Heart based on fear.
If you haven’t watched the movie before, level with me here.
These are a class of grade 9’s that were thrown onto an island and forced to kill one another. The madness and adrenaline is rushing through all their minds right from the get go.
As the movie progresses you begin to see the true hearts of the kids on the island. One might say that they only acted like that in order to survive. But these kids have never been so real in their lives than on the moments they spent on the island. This movie is just amazing.
Trust me, just watch it.
Go torrent it or something, or get it on Zune or whatever. Just go and watch it.
